Mitchell Lee Kolbe is a native North Carolinian who in 1973 was one of ten students nationally chosen to receive a scholarship to study at the prestigious Art Students League Of New York City. He and his wife currently live in Fairview, N.C. Kolbe’s work can be found in numerous private and corporate collections including: The Eastern Orthodox Church, Istanbul, Turkey, N.A.S.A., and the Governors Club, Florida State Capital, Tallahassee, Fl.
